I go to Food4Less for packaged goods, but what is the best place for FRESH fruits and vegetables?

Sunflower Farm Market. Much less expensive than Whole Foods. Less attitude, too. You have two in LV, Trop at Pecos and Rainbow at Flamingo. You can access their weekly sale ad online.

A huge second for sunflower market. Their produce is incredibly fresh and reasonably priced. Their meat also comes from nearby ranches in California and the taste is night and day compared to factory meat that shows up just about everywhere.

Vons produce is over priced and always picked too early, smiths produce is too ripe and spoils quickly. Can't speak for albertsons

Whole Paycheck has the best, but also the most expensive. Although I don't like the produce at the WF's that were formerly Wild Oats, which were formerly Kathy's Market.

Although I shop at all of the above, when I go to the market specifically for produce, I head directly to Glaziers. They have, by far, week in and week out, the best fruit in the valley. Nothing else comes close.

I have to second the vote for Glazers, only problem is it's so darn far from my home, wish they'd open one up in the NW. They are completely family owned and operated, no baggers to bag your groceries though.

Their meat is pretty good, too. I love that they feature a few local items, last time we were there, an older gentleman had a little stand in the store giving out samples of his own family's BBQ sauce, made and bottled in Henderson, and at another stand a lady was giving away samples of cookies/cakes created and baked right here in Las Vegas. Wine from Pahrump was featured at another stand.

Also, Glazers has some East Coast specialties that you don't normally find in the regular supermarkets (although those items are a bit expensive). Wise Potato Chips and Yankee Doodles are my personal favorites.
