I've been asked where someone could get the best prices on gold and silver jewelry. They even have some of those silver bars they paid $40 an ounce for in the 1980's when the Hunt Brothers tried to corner the silver market. Anyone have an honest buyer in mind?

They are called Silver Strikes.

The ones that are .999 silver generally sell on ebay for close to their actual silver content value....I believe they have 2/3's an ounce of silver in each one. So if silver is $39 an ounce, the silver strikes typically sell at $22 or so...just a bit below their actual silver value.

Some have more value to collectors. In particular, the Binions ones and the Palms Playboy ones tend to sell at $5-10 more than the actual silver content value.
