And it's raining right now! And thunder and lightening!

So what's up with the birds this Spring?

I've listened for several nights now and they are chirping/singing and out and about all night long. And no, they aren't owls or bats. These are your garden variety daytime birds. This is my 3rd Spring of living here full time and I didn't hear them in the previous years.

Anyone else notice this?

Animals acting out of the ordinary can sometimes suggest natural disaster approaching.

Plan accordingly.

Could be somebody left the night light on and they want it turned off. Or maybe something is sneaking up on their nest ...cats, snakes, road runners, mocking birds (though it's probably mocking birds you're hearing.) We do have a sort of night bird here. The Kill Deer nests in dry arroyos on the ground, and you'll see them in the middle of the street at night wondering how their nesting ground got so hard. It's kind of sad. But they don't make much noise.
