I am thinking about seeing a show there and of course it will be the nose bleed section LOL. Just wondering are the seats bad? Save my money or etc?

For those of you who have been to the shows at the arena. I would love to hear your views on the seating there.

Thanks

It's real difficult to see anything on the stage with clarity from up in those seats, but they have nice big tv monitors all around so you can see what's going on pretty up close from the nosebleed sections.

Jeez, last time we had those seats was when I took some of the older teens to the Van Halen concert. The kids didn't mind at all being so far away, they just loved "being" there and listening to the music and the crowd. They took their up close photos of Van Halen from off the TV monitors, lol.

Enjoy OLCOW! Who you going to see?

IMO, that is the worst venue in town. You can't see nuthin from anywhere except maybe the first three rows. And good luck getting those.

Well, it is not until September. We are not concert types. But I love the singer Sade and John Legend(sp) will be there too. I think mainly older people like that kind of music, (I may be wrong). She has been around for over 20 years, and only tour the USA once in a blue moon. So I think we may go even if it means looking at the monitors. I will get my tickets early. Concert tickets are high priced to me, 250.00 a person for better seats. $500.00 for a one night outing. "OUCH" I am on a budget. LOL

Those are 1400.00 each, so I know I will not be sitting in one of those.
It does seem the cheaper seats are not good. I am just thinking about attending the concert. I looked at the seating on line virtually, and that did not help my decision either. IDK. I have not decided yet

Price is the other thing. Outrageous. But the sound is OK, so at least you'll hear a live concert. The floor seats are too low to see over all the heads in front of you, and the nosebleed seats are too far away. Take binoculars. I'd also recommend valet parking, because even then it's a long walk to the arena; and the MGM parking lot is voted the worst in town every year in the RJ. If you self park, be sure to drop breadcrumbs to find your way back.

Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the show?

Well, I better go dust off the binoculars and get them ready. LOL
I know we will not go deep in our wallet for this, but like you said, "enjoy hearing a live concert". I will take your advice on the parking. Also wear comfortable shoes for the long walk. This will be a first for us. Oh well.

Thanks for the heads up everyone.

Depends on what you are used to. The highest seat there isn't bad compared to a top row seat at most arenas in other cities. Its not very high up as there is no luxury boxes or club seat level, but if you are at the other end of the arena you will be quite a distance from the stage. Most concerts there are more expensively priced since its Vegas for one with all the tourists ready to drop money and because the arena has fewer seats than most others concert tours use elsewhere in the country.

I went to see the Pacquiao fight there early this month, but not at the arena, same hotel, MGM Grand, but next door at the conference center. They had 5 gigantic HD TVs set up for 5000 seats. At $55 a seat it wasn't too bad, if your'e gonna pay like $500 for nosebleed seats at the arena to watch it on monitors anyway
