Yeah, I had heard the same thing about the HOA. I liked the complex, but yes, it's a bit remote. I made a cash offer on one of the above mentioned cavernous garage units. The process took too long so I ended up moving on.

They seem a bit isolated. You can forget about public transportation or walking to much of anything if you live out there.
The Walmart Market is a 30 minute 1.5 mile walk that involves crossing over the 215. Most people will always drive there at that distance.
They do look nice for an apartment conversion.

I believe you can get to Walmart through the walking paths in under 1 mile. You have to go a little west than south.

It is a little isolated...but that may be good...

You go around and past Eileen Connors ES and use the footbridge over the flood channel to get into Shadow Hills and on to the Neighborhood mart and stores in that center. It's a bit more than a mile though.

The big plus of Versailles is that stores are relatively close by and you got Majestic Park (with breathtaking views of the LV Valley) right across the street. A walking distance away is Metro Park, right behind the NW Area Command Center and Police Academy, and that park has a great doggie park there.

Maybe. I suppose being a bit out of the way and off the bus lines keeps some undesirable people away and reduces the amount of rentals around you.

Chateau Versailles is the best pick IMO. If you didn't want the extra benefits of exercise in walking to the stores, get a bike, a scooter or one of those expensive things you stand up in and ride. (just stay away from cliffs) Or drive.

There is also a single family subdivision called Liberty at Mayfield. The smaller homes have sold in the $70's and $80's with a $65 HOA fee. It is by Tenaya and W. Craig and a short walk to Albertsons at least.
There is also Lone Mountain Terraces in a different neighborhood in the general area and in similar price range.

They seem nice and at those prices, they are competitive with condos and townhomes. Does anyone know about them?

I checked out these condos online and I found some that where 1/1. I never knew there were condos that were 1/1. Who buys a condo for 1/1 and do that even sell that well?

Seems like your buying a more fancy apartment to me. Also, judging from the map, you are in the middle of nowhere in this condo community, plus it's too far from work! LOL. Really, a 1/1????

Why wouldn't someone who doesn't need to 2 or 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms not buy a 1/1? It costs less to buy and maintain and probably a bit cheaper in heating and cooling utilities.
A single person. A retired couple with no kids that travels a lot.
