Thanks. I love being stationed at Nellis(living in Vegas). Yes a LOT has changed since you were in but mostly for the better. Nellis still remains to be on the top of a lot of Airmen's Dream Sheet.

First tour....the Base Hospital was a WWII woodenbarracks rhar rambled all over the place....connected by covered walkways....2nd tour we were busier then a one armed paper hanger with the crabs....processing guys in and out of Viet Nam...It was a GREAT Place to be stationed.

No, I mean state income taxes and state payroll taxes. I'm not talking about federal taxes.

For example, here in Florida, they only take federal income taxes and FICA (social security & Medicare). In NJ, however, they hit you for state income taxes and state payroll taxes.

No, there are no state income taxes in NV...hence no deduction for such from your NV paycheck, as long as you are a resident on NV. Only states with state income tax (as in NJ) have those deductions. Note that if you reside in neighboring state that does collect an income tax, and you work in NV, you still will owe income tax to that neighboring state.
