As long as you run to the strip after 6 PM and come back after 9PM.

Now let us see it in at 8AM and back at 4:30PM....

Note by the way the route used bares no resemblence to the one proposed.

Capt, that is 8 AM. I leave my house usually between 8:05 and 8:15 after dropping off my kids at school. Remember, I am in between Aliante GC and Silverstone.

Danknee is leaving from Elkhorn where Aliante Casino is located so he would have a 5 minute start on me if we left at the same time but going the route he and I described, it only takes 10 minutes tops to get from 215/Aliante Parkway to I-15. Then from there it's about 12-15 minutes to drive south, only issue generally is at the Spaghetti Bowl especially if NHP motors are pulling people over for crossing the triangle coming off 95 or a crash right on the curve at Charleston.

You would be very surprised how well I-15 moves once you get past the Spaghetti Bowl especially northbound in the afternoon. The big difference is that part of 15 is done with construction whereas 95 is a total disaster especially coming on at the Rainbow Curve.

You may be right. But on many occassions I have spent 15 minutes clearing the Spaghetti bowl at 8Am. Then again I come from 95.

I will take your word for it....but I remain skeptical. Every time I have a client in the area that I have to drop on the strip it takes me 40 or 45 minutes.

Yesterday is a good example Capt, I dropped off the kids at 8:15. Stopped at the Starbucks right there in front of the City Stop for a yogurt and caramel macchiato then drove to the airport for my first delivery. I don't have clearance to get past security so I have to call my client to get the products. I checked my outgoing phone calls and I called at 8:59.

It's really a nice smooth drive right now.

To the OP, in my opinion the areas are all more or less interchangeable. And to be fair all the schools will be ****ty coming from another country. So in my mind, it depends on where you are working. If you would be working at the air force base then aliante. If you are working in and around the strip, then summerlin, though Aliante isnt that bad for the strip. There arent that many shops that Summerlin has that other places dont and last time I checked, Summerlin isnt a walled garden so you can drive to the whole foods or whatever else.

I live in Aliante, and if I could, I would live in Summerlin. Why would I like to live in Summerlin? Because of all the mature greenery for one. The miles and miles and miles, etc of biking/walking trails. A Whole Foods and Trader Joe's nearby which are two of my favorite stores. They have yet to give us either of them here in nice new North Las Vegas. At least put one in Centennial Hills!

Things I like about Aliante: The 24 miles of trails. Nature Discovery Park. Our new library. Beautiful mountain views. Incredible views of The Strip at night. Fresh and Easy store nearby. Plus the new Winco. Costco. We can walk home from Aliante station casino at 2am and no one bothers you! Hardly anyone out there driving.

I think for schools, for the young one's, we have 2 elementary schools nearby that are nice. The middle school on Deer Springs/Clayton is good. The high school is not. Living north of the beltway would get the kids into a better high school. Summerlin has the better high schools.
I do not have kids. I just go by what I read from the one's who do have kids.

I don't live in Aliante but when I went to the DMV up on North Decatur it smelled like a feedlot. Depends on the prevailing winds I guess...

There are still horse properties in that area. What do you expect? Roses? Buy some rose scented air freshener for your car.
