According to the Trulia map, there has been only one shooting in Las Vegas recently. I'm skeptical.

Still better than the "this zip code is bad/this zip code is good" crime maps out there. Zip code maps are the reason we get 100 "Is this area safe" questions every week.

89117 is actually very good area near boca park, what i do notice is big "apartment" complexes sem to have to crime, tbh that makes sense, in any city more people living close to gether wil lhave more complaints, etc.but property crimes always tend t obe biggest in very good areas, while violent crimes are i nthe ghettos.

Note that the zip code crime range is well over 100 to 1. So the difference between yellow and green is small. But green and red....big difference.

watch out as well for Trulia and such to be fed by only one police dept. If NLV suddenly starts looking real super...you are not seeing the actual NLV crimes. Just the few that happen to get handled by metro.

Default Ugh

Got a scanner app on my phone, I can't stand to listen to the bs anymore. Vegas may be fun when your visiting but gross when you live here. I was gonna move to GV or Mountains Edge but with State unemployment rate adding to a already undesirable place to live, my family is leaving.
