Funny how that works. They get you to agree to limiting your energy use or paying for expensive energy saving products, saying it will lower your bills. Then enough people do it that they jack up rates to make up for the revenue loss. And then they start the cycle over again...

Same thing is happening right now with gasoline prices. Sure, inflation is a big part of it, but the government secretly loves it. They get higher gas taxes, con you into buying a crappy underpowered new car, and then in a few years when we all get 40mpg the gas prices will just be even higher to keep profits and taxes up.

They TRIED to raise the rates. I'm pretty sure that I heard the other day that Gov. Sandoval refused to sign the bill allowing them to screw us again. Didn't trust him all that much until I heard that.

and Im SURE that 3 minutes later they refiled a NEW request for an increase.....we ARE dealing with a company whose sole purpose is to screw Nevada....NVE owned by Sierra Pacific Power...a California Company

I'm not defending NV Energy here, but isn't ~12c/kwh below the national average for electricity?
