The post is 7 years old. The op moved to Ohio and then to Vegas. I believe Ohio is #1 for overdoses of opioids and heroin

Has your husband considered switching from Methadone to Suboxone? Methadone gets you high, Suboxone does not.
Methadone programs typically make you appear at a clinic daily, which can be a hassle, expensive and of course places you in the midst of hundreds of other opiate addicts, which is a bad idea.
Suboxone is prescribed from a physician's office during a regular doctor visit. You have it filled at a regular pharmacy and there is nothing in it that causes a buzz, which imo is the best way to do it.
You only have to go in to see the doctor once every three or four months. Suboxone, once you are the low dose my son is now on, costs about $50 a week in Nashville.
I have not priced it in Las Vegas but will soon as my son is a recovered opiate addict. Suboxone saved his life. He has worked full time for the past two years, stayed clean and supported himself and recently married and also supports his wife.
My son is 25 and has a felony conviction from when he was 18. I can assure you that Nevada is not going to be any harder to find work in than TN is if your hubby has a felony on his record.
What my son and I tell people in the seminars we give about drug addiction is that felony record pretty much means, good luck in corporate America, HOWEVER, you can open your own business and be as successful as any other person in business.
If you are moving to Nevada I would suggest locating a Suboxone doctor in Nashville, switching your husband to Suboxone, then locating a Suboxone doctor in Vegas BEFORE moving.
My son was prescribed 3 pills a day and now only takes one half of one pill each day. We are bringing four months of Suboxone with us when we move to Vegas to give him time to find a good doctor and get an appointment.
I am sending this in a DM as well as here in case you don't come back here. (Which I would fully understand if you didn't after the response you got)> ((((HUGS)))) It's interesting that alcoholism does not receive the same jokes, disdain and attitude.
ABSOLUTELY do not DO this. Suboxone is the next Methandone zombie disaster in the making! It has all kinds of BAD side-effects. There will be millions of poor peeps who bought into this nightmare and I see it coming just like I knew that the Wong-Baker Pain Scale in 1989 would be such a disaster. If you love your husband do not follow the Suboxone path. Big Pharma is hoping you will but don't do it.
