I still think there's no substitute for coming here and "groking" the area oneself. My opinion of what constitutes "the good life" isn't the same as OPs, and probably isn't the same as anyone else's either.

On balance, my zip code of 89110 stinks. There's nothing redeeming about it. But my house is great. If I had asked about 89110 on this forum prior to house hunting, I would have missed this diamond in the rough.

On any balance 89117 is a pretty nice zip code. In any of the zips there can be great buys. Particularly if you get into the isolated half acres. In the case of 89110 you need to be up the hill...and you have the problem that getting in and out requires transitting some difficult areas. Another fine example is 89106 which is pretty awful except it has some wonerful places.

I would think this guy will come and look more than once...but helping to narrow it down some first is not a bad idea. I would not send him to 89110 unless he showed some strong interest in acreage with a view. Then I might. Note that the school situation in 89110 is tough...

Thank u sir for trying to help me!!!! I'm going out next week for 3 weeks.. My glass is always full... I'm looking forward to the adventure... I plan on exploring many different areas and developments... I'm open to anything... Maybe summerlin, green valley, or henderson...
