Anyone know, when buying a resale without a pool if there is access to a soil report ( of one was done)?
This thought cane up as i was looking at 2 properties at the lakes (regency) and one had a 3-4 ft deep pool. I have never seen this in a full size pool. Us this a popular thing to do? Thought of maybe a caliche issue?
No biggie, just sparked my interest.

Apologies, I almost exclusively use tapatalk on iPhone and my search function does not work, even after 2 installs

Thanks all.

Very very unlikely. Not done. Note that putting in a pool on an existing property isprobably a big enough loser that a little caliche won't make a lot of difference. A pool is worth about 30 cents on the dollar it costs. Another five or ten grand to deal with Caliche does not make it a lot worse. Particularly if you are there for a while.

Three or four feet deep pools deal more with absurd fears of drowning than with caliche. Diving boards go away to the same logic. Even slides.

The short quick answer is no, it is not causing a problem for in ground pools.

It is interesting. And off topic but apropo story..

My two older children learned to swim one winter in Rochester NY. They had a civic swimming pool called the Natatorium. It was open every night but no one came. So we adopted it. Minimum water depth was 3 and 1/2 feet. Both children were less than that in height.

Had an undresser/dresser for the girls. A life guard and the pool manager.

By spring they swam like tadpoles.

Was a very pleasant winter.
