I am not in the process of moving just as yet, but I am currently in the hiring process for an major airline that have a major hub out there that goes by the callsign WN. I am based out of Jacksonville, Fl (born and raised.) and as of right now, If I do not get this position, I will put in a transfer to LAS. I currently work at an airport and it is a good company, but I just have to move to make more money and a possible promotion at my position. I also SO, Ozzy, WWE, etc. The big ones where they are short of people, I also have TV experience too. Jacksonville does not cut it.

My friend have been trying to get me to go out there the past year, and I am now considering it. If I dont get WN, I will put in a transfer asap, if I do get it, I will at least wait a year before I move out, but I still want to go out there and establish a career since it is next to impossible to do what you want to do here in Jax.

I am currently looking in the Green Valley, Warm Springs, and Boulder Highway areas. That is what I was told to look at, but any other suggestions will be cool.

I know Vegas is a transient town, and the people I know from Vegas that moves here, ususally move right back to Vegas and I dont blame them. I am a native and I am trying to get out before my career life dies before it begins. BTW, how long do you have to remain in Vegas to not be considered a transient?

So you're looking to work for Southwest?? In my opinion, you'd have better luck working for Virgin America, which also has a hub there in Vegas. They're a great airline to work for and always are looking for people with and without experience.

Good luck to you!

About 45 years or until you forget where you originally came from.

Considerably less for senior citizens moving into the state. Give it 5-10 years for the Alzheimer's to set in.

Only been here a little while but feel at home. People frequently post on this board that it is hard/impossible to meet people to make friends, etc. here. I disagree. One must get out there and talk to people, use meetup.com or go to the coffee shop, check out community events and attend them, etc. While I miss family and friends, I haven't found it hard to meet new people.
