Maybe thats the reason they are building it out in BFE, cheaper land I guess.

But its not my money, or my decision.
It is a strange location. I wouldn't think the people living near there would be too happy about the traffic.

Where do you suggest? Not that it isn't too late already. I thought the old location was pretty good to catch both Strip and locals.

The developer deemed it was the right location for the water park because of its proximity to many middle class neighborhoods. The clientele which they are aiming for will come from Spring Valley, Summerlin, Mountains Edge, NW, Centenial Hills, Aliante...... As far as access, there are enough wide roads in the area plus the 215 Beltway for those outside of the area. Looking forward to this project coming into fruition, the water park will be nice but so is the addition of a neighborhood park. Even better for the area, businesses will benefit from the increase traffic.

The waterpark will be great for the economy in that area. I only hope that is will not bring in more crime.

It could get ugly, just imagine:
  • Drug deals on the tube run
  • Murderers roaming the wave pool
  • Illicit drug use while floating down the lazy river
