I worked with Colin at Ch-3. Was surprised when he went big time.

One guy I never ran into was Tony Curtis. I sometimes go to an old timers' media lunch, and I missed the one where he was a guest right before he died. I'm sorry I missed it.

But being the entertainment capital of the world, and given that these people have ordinary lives too, you gotta see a star now and then in Las Vegas. Same thing in Hollywood/LA. I always see one or two when we go to LA.

One of favorite memories was having a buddy from West Virginia visit one time on his way to Vietnam. He was here for one night and wanted to see Sinatra. I told him it was way too late to get reservations for his show, but if he wanted to see him I'd arrange it. I took him to the Sands just before Sinatra's show ended and told him to be patient. In a few minutes the show ended and a few minutes after that Sinatra and his whole entourage came through the casino and went into the coffee shop where I knew he always had a hamburger. In the group were a couple of young entertainers named Nancy Sinatra and Bobby Darren who were standing around the casino talking to people. My friend was impressed and I got a kick out of telling him that was just the way it is in Las Vegas.

Tony could not have been nicer. Very engaging and friendly and very appreciative when someone would compliment him on his career. He told me my aura was wonderful and he envisioned great things for me. Such a class act

I sold pots and pans to Larry King and the Firestones. I know they aren't celebs but notable just the same. Also to someone who won a Grammy...don't remember the name.
