Understand that Ravella and Casino Montelago have both been purchased by one party.

Has anyone else heard this?

Yes, it was purchased by a family acquanitance. It was by a Chinese investment group. Ravella will still be operated by Dolce.

A company called Newage LLC has purchased it. I just checked the tax rolls. While I don't know anything about the company, having Deutche Bank out of the picture is a good thing as their only intent was to sell the property. It sold for $46 million dollars. Actual owners with a stake in the investment is always better than bank owned. The hotel and casino were always considered one parcel and will likely always stay that way.

This is just one more positive step for LLV.

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas holiday and I wish everyone a great 2013!!!

So, I was in LLV over Christmas. While I'm very happy the sidewalks are "slowly" being completed along LLV Parkway, I have to question why the sidewalks near the Falls Golf Course Club House are being tied into the Falls Golf cart paths?

Why would a golf course want or allow this? I thought a golf course wanted to keep pedestrians "off" the golf cart path? Why would Carmel Land and Cattle agree to this. Unless, there is more going on?

I checked with Gerri Schroeder. She didn't answer specifically why the sidewalks were now tied in with the Falls Golf cart path, but stated there are no plans to change the zoning on the courses. I have an email into Patricia @ LLV Master, but I rarely get responses to my emails from her.

The residents at Casa Palermo and Bella Fiore are saying that the golf course will be come a walking path area and the course will no longer exist. They also are saying it won't be green and will be just the desert terrain.

I'm not one for stirring the pot, but this is pretty concerning and thought I'd put it out there for thought and discussion.

Default Golf courses

I am currently spending my winter break at LLV, and I can safely say that the golf courses have never looked worse. They are a devastating eyesore to the entire community. It's unfortunate that such a nice area is polluted by the weed-infested remnants of once beautiful courses. I can't believe this issue has gone on for so long. Certainly, something could be accomplished one way or the other. To be honest, I'm more than happy with the superior condition and value of the Tuscany golf course. Even if our courses were to open again, they wouldn't see my business. Just plow them under already!

Really was disappointed to see they stopped watering RB again when it looked like they were possibly gettting it ready for spring.

It appears that the Henderson Police now have Lake Las Vegas on their radar (pun intended). Those of you who traveled between the first and second roundabout yesterday late afternoon saw the ticket patrol out in force. The speed limit on that stretch is a painstakingly slow 25 MPH. I traveled through there four times between 4:30 and 6:00 and each time they had at least one and usually two vehicles stopped at a time. Beware!!!
