Are you kidding? This is what people work their whole lives for! They don't hit a certain age and dry up!

Simple, the board is populated by sadistic, necrophiliac zoophiles.

[Lets see, whipping? Check. Dead? Check. Horse? Check. Yep, sadistic, necrophiliac zoophiles.]

People need to get off the crime thing. You have crime every where no matter what city you live in. Being retired does not make you a walking crime statistic. How about the great weather Las Vegas has and the low property taxes and etc. Un-employment struck the whole country not just Nevada. Take a look at what is hiring now and most of us will not qualify for those jobs. As much as everyone talks about the hot weather in the summer it is mild compared to the hurricanes tornadoes flooding and the cold winters else where. There was over 80 people who lost their lives a few weeks ago from hurricane Irene did 80 people die in crime related issues in Nevada??? or heat related issues. I will be joining the ranks of retired and Living in Las Vegas soon so lets keep our heads high and not let the nay sayer''s from else where get us discouraged.

We had our cars broken into 5 times in 11 years in our St Paul, MN neighborhood. I feel a lot safer in my gated Green Valley neighborhood.

My wife's car has been broken into four or five times in over the past 8 years. Just the other morning there was a cruiser in the neighbors driveway (We've honestly seen probably four cruisers in our neighborhood in the 8 years we've lived in our condo). The officer pulls up as we are walking out and says to keep an eye on our cars - he's had replied to 11 reports of theft from cars that morning. It was 11:00am on a Saturday. This is in a picturesque neighborhood in Vermont which everyone seems to believes is a crime free state.

When I was in High School (1993) we had very serious drug problems. No one seemed to believe it at that time. In Vermont? No way - that kind of thing happens in other states, not here. While as a whole VT is a safe, clean, beautiful state there is crime and there are most certainly drugs, prostitution, et all.

Crime is everywhere BUT - some people perceive crime differently in different areas. Las Vegas with it's partying, gambling, etc - must be a mecca of crime! The Picturesque Green Mountain State Vermont - there can't be crime there! No one was doing drugs on Newhart! Perceptions we create of an area can greatly affect what we choose to believe of that area.

I do agree that crime in Las Vegas is on the increase....as more Kalifornicators move here and as more Politicians are created....

Back in the day......late september 1962 I went downtown on Friday night....BEAUTIFUL night....1957 Ford Convertible....Top Down....parked on 3rd street about a block south of the Golden Nugget....[now its the GN parking garage]

Came back aoubt 8 hours and several gallons of beer later....to find a note on the dash.....

"I saw your keys in the ignition so I dropped them at the Casino cage at the Nugget,"

I find that the people that ACTUALLY live in Las Vegas [NOT the carpet baggers] to be among the most honest group of people I have ever seen.

[now if THAT don't start em squealin nothin will]
