I proposed on the bridge over the lake by Marche Bacchus - the one you can see if you are dining on the patio. That turned out to be just about perfect, as she said the bridge was very symbolic. I was actually going to propose before we left home, during a dog walk, but I could only do that if we took one dog, and we ended up taking both, so that didn't work out.

She knew I was going to propose (we spent the last 10 weeks designing the setting together) and wanted to stay away from the strip, so she chose Marche Baccus for dinner. She was very happy with the restaurant choice and proposal location - it went just how she always imagined it would, and that is all that matters.

Oh yeah, she said yes.

Love is wonderful the second time around
Just as wonderful with both feet on the ground
It's that second time you hear your love song sung
Makes you think perhaps that love like youth is wasted on the young

Love's more comfortable the second time you fall
Like a friendly home the second time you call
Who can say what wrought us to this miracle we've found
There are those who'd bet
Love comes but once - and yet
I'm oh so glad we met
The second time around

Jonathan

We're part of the 40 percent. Yes, it's worth it.

Beautiful ring, great location. When my wife is driving she always takes us in a loop so we can cross that bridge and pass two of the lakes. I noticed last night there were now five black swans swimming.
