Somehow the point I attempted to make was misunderstood. People prefer "happiness" over "truth". In Las Vegas happiness equates to round-the-clock sensory gratification. Las Vegas is utterly irrelevant, it's Soma, and it's purpose is to seduce into passivity. So Las Vegan's live in a world in which there is insufficient agreed reality...
the world IS changing while Las Vegas pretends not to notice.

dude, i really don't get why you attempt to be so profound.

first you say that one is either an optimist or apathetic.

and you are in a class by yourself as a realist.

and now you say that most of us are irrelevant and seduced into passivity.

smoke another bong hit, for all of us passive sheeple.

i've got two words for ya, and it ain't happy birthday.

Heh, heh. I'm using that one REAL soon.

But, I'd like to point out that to a great extent, YOU MAKE YOUR OWN REALITY. People who are miserable all the time are miserable people. They are never going to be happy (short of wholesale philosophical change). So, f--- them and find some people who aren't total smeghead attitude vampires.

Life is great. And anyone who disagrees can stay t'hell out of my way while I enjoy the finite days given to me.

Fortunes are made in the face of fear and panic.

When the Japanese invaded... in the panic and fear of ww2 when things looked the worst, my filipino great grandmother bought property titles for pennies on the $. She knew things would return to normal.

Unfortunately, the economy could get a whole lot worse before it gets better.

Moral: If Japan ever invades Vegas, buy buy buy!
