I will be moving to Las Vegas from the North East NYS close to the Canadian border. We have to set our Anti-freeze at -40 YES -40. That is because of the wind chills we receive. What does everyone else have theirs in Las Vegas. I will be driving out when I move so I want to be close to the setting in the SW and not boil over my car when I get there and be ready for the summer heat. Thanks.

IRISH.....we don't call it antifreeze here.....it's coolant...

either that or Anti-freeze works cause it RARELY freezes here

We put ice cream in ours. Freezing is not the problem. Overheating is.

Actually, it's just a 50/50 "coolant" mixture sold at any auto department of any Walmart, K-Mart, Target, Autozone, supermarket, CVS Pharmacy, etc.

Thanks for the advice and YES!!!! I fat fingered the topic on this one and could not delete it. I will now start calling it coolant and try to get in the mind set of no more freezing lol. Where I live cool is your freezing. One more winter here and then off to Las Vegas to live.

I know it sounds crazy, but I actually use Summers Eve in my radiator. I never have to mess with it and my car always smells fresh.

I got the idea after seeing this girl I knew with something funny in her hand. I said, "What is that stuff? I know anti-freeze when I see it."

Keeps things cold...but not frigid.
