What a pointless part of the law.

90 days to respond to a sale offer on a short sale? That's just dumb. Like old capt said, on 89th day they can just reject it.
Also, misdemeanor is nothing when they will forge signatures which could be seen as a bigger crime with harsher penalties yet they did it and still do it. Oh and if you complain and get them the small fine for the misdemeanor, remember they won't ever deal with you again in other short sales. Good Luck.
Banks and title owners are taking it up the rear on these losses and they will try and do everything they can to eek out more to lessen their losses. Wouldn't you?
If you have the cash you can try to buy at the trust/forclosure sales and if you don't, just buy from a flipper who bought that foreclosure and pay a small percentage higher.

Of course the bank want to delay the short sale process and make it as difficult as possible, otherwise, the whole world would be short selling their houses left and right.

I would think they would be losing more by not getting someone in there to pay a mortgage AND keep the house from going into any further disrepair.
