The government is going to get their $$, one way or another, that's what the no-tax crowd won't comprehend until it's too late.

When companies consider starting up/relocating a business here, and they find out what the building inspectors (tax collectors for the state like police/highway patrol officers) have been up to in Nevada, how will that effect their decision?

The building inspectors recently levied $700k in fines to a local casino here (I know firsthand). During the boom times, when lazy gov't workers were assured a job, they would have turned a blind eye to many of the infractions.
Not now! Now they go in with flashlights, climb up into the rafters, and armed with income states for the past 7 years for that business, will then decide how much they can bleed this place with fines!

Same is happening right now where I work. $10K a day in fines until the repairs are made. Those same defects existed for the past 6 years of inspections!

New gold mines for the building inspectors! Companies thinking of starting up a business here or relocating here: Beware! Beware!
