I know its been some time but, are there any places comparable to it now? Maybe some restaurants that have stood the test of time and have that same nostaglia about them?

Golden Steer Steakhouse: The Golden Steer | Las Vegas Best & Oldest Steakhouse!

I think DeStefano's is still there under different owners. I believe it's still a typical old Vegas joint with good Italian food, and live music: DeStefanos - Southeast - Las Vegas, NV

Just saw a TV commercial for The Flame at the El Cortez. I don't know if it's the same Flame that was on DI Road, but the logo looks the same. Somebody please tell me it hasn't been there for years and I never noticed. Dining at the El Cortez Hotel and Casino featuring fine dining at the Flame Steakhouse, Breakfast Lunch & Dinner at Cafe Cortez and easy access to our delicious food court

Default Great new restaurant

Speaking of steaks, Carol and I have been to the Wine 5 Café twice now, one breakfast and one dinner, and we like it a lot.

Wine 5 Cafe is a Unique Experience in Vegas Eating Out | Your Excellent Adventure

The pizza joint that was in that location before was the worst pizza I've ever had, so if you thought that too, don't let it stop you from trying the Wine 5 Café. If you do, you'll brag about my taste in food to your friends.

(Had a doctor that used to tell me I'd brag about him by the end of the week when he treated me for colds and stuff).

Considering the tone of the thread - I was in no way off topic.
