Do they still do the speakers or TV in box sold from a van scam? I guess today it's not really called a scam anymore it's called a crack move.

LOL..Here's the a couple that got me.. Some kids came to my door asking me to buy some pictures drawn by crayon so they could buy some Ice Cream.. They were about 8 or 9 years old.. So I gave them $2.00 for the drawings...

Here's the good part...When walking away I heard one of them ask the other "Do you believe that sucker bought to pictures"?
Then there were the brownies who I pre-paid for cookies and of course lost the paperwork when they delivered the cookies so they didn't know if I paid or not but had the correct amount and type of cookies I ordered..Just no record of me pre-paying for the cookies..

In life it's just a fact at some point everyone is going to get got..

This scam is still going on: A grungy looking guy approaches you in the parking lot of Walmart or Costco. Asking for food, not money, or asking if they can come home with you and do work in exchange for food and money. (Never taking people home with us we don't know.)
So far, 3 different guys have done this. But none of them got money from us. The first guy really looked like he needed food. The second guy had a child with him that also looked grungy. We later saw him, the child and his wife, all cleaned up and walking towards their home in Aliante.
He looked a little chagrined at being found out. I guess having a child with you is supposed to pull on your heart strings and give them money. For me, it would have worked better if he were holding a kitten.
The third guy not only wanted food, come home and do work for money, but also wanted bus fare. He seems to live in the parking lots on Decatur/215 north. But probably has a nice home as well.

I know times are tough, but I think they need to be a little more creative or at least move on to other parking lots so people don't catch on.

Your boss is pretty dumb, maybe you should ask him for a raise and show him a fake Nevada minimum wage poster. LOL he seems to like giving money away.

you really have to be some kind of knucklehead to hand over money to a complete stranger while expecting a return... no disrespect intended.

A heads up for those men who may be regular Home Depot customers in the area. This one caught me by surprise.

Over the last month I became a victim of a clever scam while out shopping. Simply going out to get supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you or your friends.

Here's how the scam works:

Two seriously good-looking 20-21 year-old girls come over to your car as you are packing your bags into the trunk. They both start wiping your
windshield with a rag and Windex, with their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts. It is impossible not to look.

When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say 'No' and instead ask you for a ride to McDonald's. You agree and they get in the backseat.
On the way, they start undressing. Then one of them climbs over into the front seat and starts crawling all over you, while the other one steals your wallet.

I had my wallet stolen June 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 20th, 24th & 29th. Also July 1st, 5th, twice on the 8th, 16th, 23rd, 26th, 30th, three times last Saturday and very likely will again this upcoming weekend.

Funny, I always attributed that line to the Tea Party.

It's time for you to buy some really cheap wallets and plant just a thank-you card in there. Just be sure to slip the real wallet into the Home Depot bag after the store transaction.
