Clouds? The LVB parking lot? The Peep Show sign on the taxi? The yellowing facade of the aging MGM Grand? What's amazing?

But if it's your first time...I guess it all is. Have fun.

Hope you win a million bucks.

Jealous. Have fun!!!

Clouds can be a welcome sight for many, especially people who get nothing but sun everyday. Makes you appreciate an occasional cloudy day. And the beauty of clouds in Las Vegas is that it is NOT everyday like some other cloudy, gray states in the US.

Parking lot on LVB! Woohoo!!! Keep 'em coming in and out!

I am dying to go to the Peep Show! Who doesn't know that Las Vegas is all about a little naughty-ness? That's part of it all.

Yellowing facade? People crab because LV doesn't let anything age...and "their" city has older, aging buildings and that adds to the beauty of their downtown, blah, blah, blah....it's character, patina...

And, it is exciting to many, beautiful to many. What a curmudgeon post jfkIIVIVIVI, your time with Las Vegas is obviously played out. You are past your prime with the city. Everyone gets it, already. Quit raining on those you DO enjoy it.

Waiting for more pics!!!!!

Haha! The picture was intended to proof that I am there ( the very first pic I made after we arrived ), not to show what amazed me at that moment lol

It was cloudy and bit rainy on Friday evening, but that didn't stopped us from dropping our luggage in a hotel room and going for a walk. I took 300+ pictures and at least walked in-and-out to every place I planned to see, except downtown. There was no way to make it happen in the 2 1/2 day we stayed there.
I didn't know how to post pictures on City-Data direct from the phone ( or at least I didn't figured it out, yet), but I will post some after I upload them to my HD.

In overall it was a great trip starting with a personal driver retrieving ( and returning) us from McCarran Airport. Then the nice pent loft on 32nd floor ( Hotel 32) with personalized experience, where a concierge was fulfilling any request throughout the day. Everything from Voss water and Champagne to gourmet light breakfast and evening hors d’oeuvres are all complimentary-even snacks throughout the day.

The loft was big ( 1000 sqft? ) and provided a great view. It was contemporary decorated, with lighting and atmosphere controlled by wireless remote, espresso machine on the wet bar, Wi-Fi, newspapers and soft drinks, large flat screen TVs at every turn ( even in the bathroom), huge infinity spa tub and steam shower with cool chroma key mood lighting - yep! you just couldn't take 3 min. shower in there , California size bed, dining and very comfortable sitting area.

Our food experiences were hit and miss. We had so-so dinner at Bon Ami Gabi at Paris ( sorry, Buzz123 - I bet we just pick out wrong food from the menu ) we had scallops for a starter, classic steak with frites and hanger steak with potato puree and spinach, wine and mixed drinks.
A great breakfast at Wynn, and extremely tasty dinner in a comfortable dining room at Sage ( we had the tasting menu with wine pairing).
On Sunday pretty good brunch at Bellagio, and a phenomenal dinner at Joel Robuchon. ( we took the 16 course tasting menu with wine pairing ).

We walked the strip from Desert Inn to Hacienda. Visited almost every hotel/casino on the strip. The most memorable places are: Bellagio and the Fountain, Caesars Palace and Forum Shops, Wynn, Venetian Resort and Paris and Eiffel Tower.

Excalibur, Mandalay and Luxor were disappointing, the Shark Reef was closed.

Pictures will follow

Maybe that's typical everyday visit, but it was my first time, and I never got pampered like that, and I was off work - so, of course I enjoyed it!!

I've said it already, but Caesars Palace and the Forum Shops were my favorite place on the strip when I was in Vegas. Caesars is just beautiful.

Glad you had fun! Now the next time you go, hit downtown!

We used to like the Luxor and stayed there for years. It's turned into a junky, low-class music bar with some gambling. We stay elsewhere now. Paris the last visit.

Well, they have to lower the prices to stay afloat, and the lower the price the lower the quality of the clientelle, it just comes with the territory
