Ha! The weather definitely does not start to get warm in Feb here in Boston. Jan/Feb is the coldest and darkest parts of winter. You don't really start to see it get warm till end of March/April here.

My X SIL used to come out from Minneapolis [the land of eternal winter] in Jan and Feb just so she could lay out in the yard in a bikini.....I would sit on the porch in a sheepskin coat.

Thanks for all the great advice.....sounds like mid sept - oct and mid april - may wins hands down the best weather category. As VON had mentioned, I neglected to mention events etc.....along with weather for choosing the best 30 days.
Anyways, 30 days in February in Vegas will seem like paradise to spending it in the midwest / eternal winter.

Although this is my first October here, I must say those boiling hot summer days are GREAT for hitting Lake Mead.
I was there Monday and swam for a bit.
It was cold---but it still was enjoyable.

I hear ya. I live in Des Moines and Jan and Feb are the worst months. In fact, Feb always seems to be the worst of all. March is usually no better. The last few years we have not seen a real warm up until nearly May.

I'm so ready to move to the desert!

The mountains have always been better on my allergies. The heavier air keeps the pollen and other allergens from being too airborne.

Here in Vegas they've artifically planted too many things that aren't native here and changed their pollens and such, so allergies have gotten worse here because of it.

Best time of the year is October, GREAT weather... not too cold not too hot, and beautiful skies! next is April - May for same reasons. Feb is usually still pretty cold and rainy... but it beats the heat any time!

Somebody asked me on my rep page to give them a link to the allergy elimination technique, but they didn't give me their name.

Here is the link to NAET, Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Technique. NAET - Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Techniques are alternative allergy medications used to reduce or eliminate allergy and disease
Dr Devi Nambudripad made the discovery and developed the techniques.

Dr Cutler, from what I understand, studied from Dr. Nambudripad, and then developed her own program called Bioset. I don't know that I call it squirreling on the original, but hers work as well, and may be easier to learn. Dr Ellen Cutler - Creator of the BioSET holistic approach to healing - DrEllenCutler.com
