What hotels allow guests who are obviously over 18 but not yet 21 and are travelling on their own, to book a room?

I'll be 20 next year when I'm over in the states. I know some places like the Mirage do allow under 21 sole guests, but was looking for a place under 40 dollars to stay. The cheapest hotel in Vegas I found, the El Cortez in Downtown at $27 a night, but was just on the phone to them and they said they don't take anyone under 21 because "they are a casino".

I know there are some youth hostels around, but I was hoping to stay in a cheap hotel/casino for a couple of nights. Thanks :]]

Stay at one of the no-tell-motels on Freemont.
I think...don't quote me...I think they even provide you your very own crack pipe, complete with replacement screens and 2 lighters.
Not too bad.

MOST hotels are arranged so that you MUST travel thru the Casino to get anyplace in the property.....rooms, restaurants, etc.

Since you are NOT 21 you can NOT travel thru the casino unescorted....

That's why we don't rent to you.

I'm sorry, but you're completely incorrect mate.

If you are under 21 you CAN still travel through the casino, you just can't stop and loiter around the gaming floor. Some casino's (i.e. Bellaigo) require that those under 18 must be accompanied by someone over 21 to go anywhere inside, but since I'm 20 that's not an issue.

Regardless, find a motel or hotel without a casino and you will have no problems renting at 20. You are trying to do the impossible, so why complicate things when the solution is quite easy.

I was just surprised as many people keep saying hotels like MGM Grand, Flamingo, Circus Circus and others rent to 18 plus year olds (though they don't actually seem to), but it's impossible to find a definite list. I know I've always got the non-casino motel option, but I'd much prefer to stay at one of the main places on the Strip if possible. If there is some definite rule stating no hotel with a casino allows under 21 guests, then that's all I need to know, but its confusing as many people keep suggesting that there are exceptions to this idea.

And if you are looking for that on a map it is spelled Fremont (without the accented é, as in John C. Frémont, the explorer/soldier/politician, and the man who saved my ancestor, Kit Carson's, life.
