How about the Bootleg Canyon zipline? Or the one on Fremont St? Or ride the horsies at various locations. And I think they still do the paddlewheeler on Lake Mead don't they?

We had one of the actual scientists from the old days of nuclear testing as our special tour guide.

Parts of it are still too hot, radiationwise, for people though. You'll see the bunker where the control room is. It's where all the famous scientists sat when they set off the bombs. There is one test the Brits were about to do that was canceled when Clinton put the site out of business. The device is gone of course, but the tower and hole they drilled down about a mile is there for you to see what a real test would have looked like. You'll see the famous wooden bleachers that all the reporters and dignitaries witnessed an atomic bomb blast from, and you'll wonder how they survived it as it seems really close to the detonation site. You'll see the towns they built and populated with mannequins to see how a real town would hold up in a blast. There is all kinds of equipment all over the desert that is all warped from atomic bombs. The thing that got me the most was seeing hundreds of craters and a group of running antelope dodging the holes.

They not only give you a background check before you can go, but they check your car when you park at the facility on Losee Road.

You'll also get to stand on the edge of the Sedan Crater and look down in the it from a platform. Talk about awesome. They say there is more radiation coming from the sun than from the blast site as you get that close. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sedan_(nuclear_test)
Sadly all their tours were full when we checked, they're booked several months in advance. It seems each time we go to Vegas it's a spur-of-the-moment trip and we never get a seat for that tour.

One reason I ask is that places like Zion National Park should not be missed. And like Teddy Roosevelt said, every American should see the Grand Canyon.
We're yankees

I like outdoorsy stuff, but the hubs doesn't want to drive too far (more than 1 hour) or do anything where physical exertion would be required. The poor guy is tuckered out.

You should go! It's awesome. We rarely buy souvenirs but we got a radiation hazard sign to pin up on our bathroom door and I love their bomb-shaped mugs.

Thanks for the suggestions, I love the spas and always chill out there to recuperate from the NYC rat race. Last trip I splurged and got a time ritual at the mandarin.

That will take care of you for awhile...
I love how you mixed in strip club with your list. That is always at the top of my list.
