Happy holidays to all. Wife and I live in SW Utah and are looking to move to LV in the near future. (Read when we can sell our current house) We've been looking at condo developments in the 89121 (east LV) area. Trop, Harmon, Flamingo,515,95 area. Anybody have any input on this zip ?. My guess is that McCarran will be an issue but not sure. We have driven past three older developments and like two of them. Any information would be helpful.

TIA

Just curious . . what is prompting your move away from Cedar City UT? Why not St. George, Mesquite, or Pahrump?

Cedar City is nice but the sidewalks have cracks in them from getting rolled up every night at 8:00. We would like more in the way of entertainment. Yeah, I know about my previous postings but after almost five years, it's time to move on.

I live in 89121 around paradise park and it's fine. Fine meaning it's not a fantastic area and it also is a far cry from the actual bad neighborhoods in Vegas. I haven't had any issues with crime except with the most recent issue where it seems someone stole a Christmas present that was left by my door. I think we could all agree that happens everywhere though.

We're looking at Sunrise Villas, Forest Hills and Flamingo Crest. Seem to get the most bang for the buck. Any info on these developments.

Thanx

This is my area but I don't know much about the condos. You CAN buy a house here quite reasonably. It is urban. I can walk to the library, post office, grocery store, and even Starbucks. Even a couple casinos if I wanted to. But this is what I wanted. It's very ethnically mixed and there is a little of everything here. And some very good ethnic markets of one variety or another.

It's not Summerlin or Green Valley. But in my little area, it's very quiet and very little traffic. I am not afraid here at all. Now I don't go walking alone a 3am but I wouldn't do that anywhere.

Great info. Just the the kind of neighborhood we're looking for.

We just bought a condo in 89122...across Boulder Highway from 89121. Lots of people do not like the area, but we found a nice quiet pocket off Desert Inn. Really like it and can't wait to close. Built in 2003/04 and our unit was recently remodeled.
We will be Winter visitors.
The three condo areas you mentioned are older units, but I do not know anything about them.

Go to that site regularly. Question. Is it 89122 or 89121 that some people do not like ?

Thanx
