I live down the street from there and have never heard of any. I think, though, that county or city has a limit of three unless you have a breeder's license.

There isn't any breed size restrictions that I know of. But they do frown on dogs barking all day long, which results in fine's,etc. In the Townhome's, they are more strict, because of the close proximity of neighbors.
In The Courts, you can have a maximum of 2 pets. In the other parts, a max of 3.

When we were considering buying there our two Lhasa Apsos were OK, but the problem I see is fencing them in.

Most of the HOAs In Aliante have specific guidelines for their neighborhoods. Depending on the neighborhood they will restrict breed, number, weight, etc.

In my neighborhood you cannot have an "outside" dog or any outdoor house, run, or kennel. Also I believe my neighborhood's limit is two.

You need to get the CC&Rs as well as the bylaws of the neighborhood you are considering. If you are renting these come from the landlord, otherwise they are part of the documents you receive prior to closing.
