Okay thanks.

Would you say doing the daily commute to aria by walking would be fine? I do not mind bums as Moose mentioned there are because I'm a guy but if there are violence around that area, then I would be wary.

There are many people that said pretty much anywhere close to the strip is a bad area and thats why most people don't live on the strip. I would want this but I have no car with me.

Yes, I have walked from that area to the strip many, many times and never had a problem, even in the middle of the night. It is 1.92 miles from Holiday Royale to Aria, so it will be quite a daily walk. One thing to remember is that there is a 24 hour bus line on Tropicana that will take you straight there if you do not want to walk.

Can you tell me more about this bus line? How long would it take to walk straight to this busline from Holiday Royale? And does that bus stop directly as Aria or the other places like Bellagio? I have heard from people that holiday royale is located bad in terms of buses where you need to transfer twice?

Sorry, I was wrong with my advice. It is 1.6 miles to Aria from Holiday Royale. There is no direct bus on Harman, and Tropicana is far enough away to make it not worth it. I would walk it.

Here is the map with all the bus routes so you can see what I mean.

The closest bus route is the 108. Here is the schedule and map: http://www.rtcsnv.com/wp-content/the...(09-30-12).pdf

The 108 bus from the airport stops on Swenson, you will need to get off near UNLV at the Swenson and Harmon intersection and walk west across Swenson, continue on Harmon until you see the Hard Rock Cafe, at that intersection walk south on Paradise and you will see the HR sign.

The walk will be 5 mins or so.

Going back to the airport, you will need to board the same route on Paradise to get back to the Airport.

Good Luck

I live at HR, it's not bad, the area isn't even that bad honestly.

Pros:
Friendly Staff

Decent Location, Hard Rock, CVS, Subway, Corner Store, Liquor Store, Double Down Saloon are all 2 mins. away

Quiet at night, almost no loud music or partying since I've been here. 24 Hour Security guy is here as well.

Price is in the middle of expensive weekly/monthly places like the Hilton Suites, and the low side like Shelter Island, also they do some sort of eviction check on people, and ask for ID and stuff to keep out some of the bad renters.

Cons:
Some bugs, not many but I've seen maybe a dozen big roaches (staff calls them water bugs for obvious reasons) in the last 3 months...but they do provide extermination services every 2 months to keep it under control.

Airplanes fly overhead all day long, after a week I got used to it though.

Internet is limited speed and the signal is not that strong at some spots of the complex, I got frustrated and ordered my own personal internet connection from cox.

TV is small, old and has less than perfect reception.

If you want any more information let me know.

Tommy

Taking the bus from HR to the strip would irritate me. I never did it, but you would have to walk about 1/2 mile north or south to flamingo or trop. You might as well just hike it straight to the strip down Harmon. Walking in the sun during the day can be hot, but at night it is very nice out lately.

Well i dont mind taking the bus. I would find walking 30 minutes very long to be honest.

Tommy you would say its best to take a cab there to see how it looks there right as oppose to the bus? Also, is there any walmart or anything like that nearby by walking distance as I know they charge for linens on a weekly basis?? if you dont' have any? Doesn't it make sense just to buy linens as oppose to rent it?

Also, do you know if that 108 bus always run? I checked google maps and it seems like to get from the strip to HR... not always can you take the 108 bus and you have to take a Las vegas monorail and then another transfer??
