...And back to reality, from today's news....

"Nevada casinos have brought in $855 million in gambling revenue in March, a nearly 11 percent drop compared with the same month a year ago. The Nevada Gaming Control board says Thursday that many of the state’s major gambling centers saw their numbers tumble."

Even better:
"The Las Vegas Strip’s winnings were $449 million in March, nearly 15 percent down year-over-year. Downtown Las Vegas saw a 12 percent decrease and brought in $43 million."

Yes, but if the economy was doing so well like Logline has said the raises should not be a problem, no? This will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Even when the economy is good, they do the same thing year after year. (Well, every other year after every other year.) This is just brinksmanship -- seeing who will blink first.

Gambling numbers were down sharply and that's definitely bad, but here's today's update on visitor numbers:

"May 25, 2012 12:18 Passenger Traffic Still Rising: The passenger count at McCarran International Airport was up for the 16th month straight in April, with a 2.7 percent increase on the same month in 2011. Allegiant and Continental in particular experienced significant upticks in passenger volume. "
