June 12, 2012 09:19 Nevada Gambling Revenue Up Again: State gaming revenue in April was up more than 6% compared to the same month last year, according to the latest report released by the Nevada Gaming Control Board, with a 25% jump for downtown compared with the same period last year.

"The Nevada Department of Taxation on Wednesday also reported a big increase in tax revenue from utilities. Las Vegas-area water customers are paying higher rates after a recent rate hike. Statewide taxable sales by utilities were up 215 percent in June compared with a year earlier."
