It definately filled up the lines. I am researching now to see if I could find it here. The company that sells it in CR is called Grupo Sur. I found it by googling Sur Stucco Silica paint. I also found an article on ehow desribing how to do it.

If you are willing to go through the trouble to mix sand with the paint and put it on the wall yourself, you may as well put the stucco on the wall. All it takes is some labor, it's not a brain surgery.

Stucco is a little more of a challenge than sand paint. You need enough stucco to cover an entire wall at one time ( from one archetectual break to the next in masonry talk). Yes, humdity being low is a problem. If you make too much, you throw out the excess. Make too little and you will NEVER get the same color match. If you are not quick enough in the application, don't think you can just hose it down to prevent the mix from drying...it will change color. Best to get somebody experienced.

Default Cost to Stucco wall

I just had my whole backyard done. I just moved in (From NJ) and I hated those prison walls. The entire job was $2200.00. They even matched the color to the house. It looks great.

I've had homes in Las Vegas and the Phoenix, AZ area. Both have stucco walls. It doesn't last. If your neighbor waters any grass or landscaping against their side of the wall it seeps through and eats away the stucco. Needs patching and re-painting more often than repainting the house.

Interesting consideration. I have a house in Phoenix that has stucco walls and no problem, but I have bublers for all plants. Not sure what my neighbors have, but most likely similar. Anyone else experience this problem with sprinklers if you have grass?
