You're also talking Centennial vs Nlv. 1100 gets a tiny home in centennial vs an average home in Nlv. If the nlv home was in Centennial, I could add 500

My original question was simply that I wanted an idea of how isolated that part of LV was. Which someone else so graciously answered, without making me feel small. I didn't intend to get into the rent debate. I would never take on an 1100 a month rent payment, even if I could afford it comfortably (which I CAN afford it UNCOMFORTABLY right now) because I believe it’s a waste of money to ever throw that much money at something that not permanent, when you should be saving for your own home.

Fortunately, there are plenty of homes in LV that fall in my price range, they just simply are not in prime locations. I'm just weighing pros and cons.

Back to reality. Tapestry is a half mile at the south end and 3/4 mile at the north end from the corner of Elkhorn and Durango. Virtually all services are available in that block including a large supermarket and restaurants...even the required starbucks.

Rents in Tapestry are generally under $1000 with a one car and $1100 with a two. There are about 20 for rent.

Taprestry is tight but otherwise nice.

You might also consider Liberty at mayfield on Craig at Tenaya.

If that's where I think it is (Elkhorn and Durango, as someone else mentioned), near the Hospital, there's tons of stuff over there! I live a couple miles farther North (x95 off of 95), and I don't feel isolated at all. My wife and I shop over there all the time (and it only takes us 5 or 6mins to hop over there).

Again, if that is indeed the area I think it is, you will not feel isolated. It's a nice, new area with plenty of shopping, plus ample medical services, our dog's vet, etc... Another couple miles down the road (on Tropical and Centennial) is a Super-Walmart, Sams-Club, Home Depot, and dozens more major retail stores.

Edit: Check out Google Maps / Streetview. You can get a complete sense of what's over there.
