What are some of YOUR best/favorite eating spots not in the Casinos/on the strip?

Are there any places you find to be on par with the Restaurants in the Casinos/on the strip?

Are there any really good buffets not located in a casino?

There is the Chinatown Plaza, that is not on the strip or inside a Casino.

Lindo Michoacan. There are five locations around town and we go the one in Henderson. It"s up on a hill with great views of the valley.

Meraki Greek Grill, Archi's for Thai food, Ohjah Noodle House (Durango) all in Spring Valley. Love Kabuki for Japanese food in (Town Square location) and Brio Tuscan Grille for Italian (Town Square and Tivoli Village locations) both chain restaurants but definitely serve delicious and consistent food.
Café Breizh for cakes/pastries/crepes. Owner once worked as Executive Pasty Chef at Wynn/Encore. This town has improved its offering as far as independent restaurants/bakeries.

We ate at http://www.macayo.com/ last week with an Ethnic Dining Club and everyone enjoyed their food. I had ground beef enchiladas that were excellent. Just spicy enough to get your attention, but not overly hot. Chips and salsa were good. My wife had the combo with a ground beef, cheese, and chicken enchilada and all were very good.

The only complaint I head was dry carnitas from one gentleman, while a lady a few seats down had the same with no complaint.

We will go back. I need to try their tacos. I have yet to find a good one here.

There was a great older thread that had pictures and reviews of mostly
Asian themed restaurants around the city. Anyone remember where that link
or thread name is?
