All of you who refer to yourselves as carnivores, you are not. Carnivores only eat meat, nothing else. You are Omnivores. You eat plants and meat. Just don't eat my house plants if you ever visit.

Only if they speak to me sideways...

Uhhhh, you see, hummus is about 2/3rds garlic and 1/3rd humm.

I've never had a problem finding anything to eat anywhere, either. I just thought it would be nice to try a "real" vegetarian place that gives more creative meatless options. Often "regular" restaurants have Pasta Primavera or something equally as boring as their main meatless choice.

I always tell people I can eat anywhere. I had to go to a BBQ place once for a work-related lunch. The kind of place that has a pig with flames on the sign, red checkered table cloths, and a roll of paper towels in the middle of the table to take care of the messy BBQ sauce. I was able to have a nice meal with a giant baked potato, salad, veggie, and apple cobbler.

I'm not really interested in a strictly vegan menu, which omits eggs, cheese, and other things that make dining out fun LOL

There is a contstant debate on the vegetarian forum about this. I guess there are two types of carnivores, one type is ALL meat, and the other eats meat and non-meat foods, but not to the degree as an omnivore.

My opinion, though, is with Pink on this. Humans are ominvores.

Just wanted to throw this out there in case anyone tries to say "Well, actually...."

I love falafel. I have that once or twice a week at work. Yum!

Hedary's is my favorite food find in Las Vegas. Best hummus, fatoush, Lebanese style rice!! And for the meat eaters, the frarej is off the hook. My mouth is watering now. The only thing is, call ahead. They sometimes are closed at odd times / days. I wish they'd move to a location closer to me.

actually hummus has a little garlic depends on your taste, sesame paste which very healthy for you and lemon juice, avoid commercial hummus that has citric acid which is very bad for you, and of cource garbanzo beans, also avoid can garbanzos which contains preservatives.

When I make hummus, it goes like this: 1 can organic garbanzo beans, strained. 1 heaping Tablespoon tahini, 2 large cloves of garlic, crushed. 2 tablespoons of olive oil (to start), a little salt and the juice of a whole lemon. Pulse in a blender until smooth. Serve with more olive oil drizzled on top and add fresh parsley and some good paprika or Emerils's Essence to complete.

In my opinion, cumin ruins hummus. I don't add it.

The thing I like about hummus is you can make it with almost anything you want to change the flavor.

A good twist is to mix hummus as a little avacado or guacamole. Yum!
