Eastside Cannery- A hidden gem for sure. Great rooms, nice odds, I tend to win there.
Bellagio- The changing gardens are always beautiful, all the food options (even the deli) are delicious.
Mirage- The first mega resort on the strip has aged very well. The rooms are nice and clean, the property is not too big, but not too small.

The Cannery- Geezus! How much smoke can you not filter out of the casino? All the food is horrible and the dice and cards have never ever been my friend there.
The Luxor- Horrible buffet, boring casino. Looks cool from the outside though.
The Palms- Still trying to live off of the late 90s early 2000s vibe. I guess its a "local" casino for the LA cool crowd. Too many Affliction and Ed Hardy shirts for my liking.

I live in Houston now, but lived in Vegas for 4 months in 2004, moved to Phoenix immediately after and stayed there 5 years, doing the drive over the Hoover Dam from time to time while there. I NEVER gambled on the Strip except for 5 minutes in the Sahara (horrible buffet), only in locals casinos.

Here are my 3 and 3:

My three favorites:

1. Eastside Cannery: awesome job they did on it, and I gambled at the old Nevada Palace.
2. Rampart: I won when I went but the security was watching everyone like hawks. Older crowd.
3. Suncoast: I love the size and game selection.

Three worst:
1. Fiesta Rancho, which I call Fiesta Ghetto because of the neighborhood it's in.
2. Arizona Charlie's Decatur. Yuk. Small, dark and the machines were mega tight.
3. Red Rock. I guess someone has to pay for all that red rock.

BTW, what are people's opinions of:
1. Aliante Station - is it just another Red Rock
2. LV in general? Are the tourists starting to trickle back? Are the machines starting to pay out again? I would love to do a trip if I get a week off and get a good airfare from Houston. It was nice being a local, but the job market was just not happening when I was there (I am a graphic designer) and I understand it just got worse with the housing crash (that's why I ultimately left Arizona for Texas).
