Those are in the exact neighborhood where I live. I could literally walk there in 5 minutes. They maybe ok, but the neighborhood around it is absolute hell.

Yeah, that whole area is a bit of a mess LVD. It's too bad too. There was a time when that was the hip part of town. They have such cool, funky old places down there, but no one wants to live with the crime.

I read an article in the Sun ( I believe, could have been the RJ) that said that most of Sierra Vista is going to be sold to the convention center to be used as parking. I don't think most of the neighbors surrounding that little pocket of crime will miss it much.

Yes, right here if you can afford it. You will basically be on the strip, so you will not have to walk through any bad areas. I would love to live here, but I am poor.

Considering that all utilities including cable and internet access are included, that's actually not that bad a deal.... My power bill runs up to 300 bucks in the summer, cable and internet are another $125, and so on.

My buddy lived half a block north of there on Koval so I dont know how much you will like your walk. It is a nice complex inside, but leave those gates and you will run into some "undesirables".

Live close to the strip and be safe? Seri ously? Other than the climate/weather, and lower cost of living (compare: Chicago, New York, Los Angeles) I do not get why people move to Vegas. Air is bad, job market centers around the whine of casinos, hotels and restaurants. Scho ol system is str uggling, population is exploding, homeless are everywhere. So many pet dogs the air stinks with poop smells (now there's a job opportunity) dogs. dogs.dogs. Along with your other growing city problems, residential areas are like compounds--cinder block walls, grated commu nities. Walkable? If you like walking along walls. But, the weather is amazing and the cost of living is better here. It is also very beautiful as far as cities go. Just be prepared for being conned when looking for a place to live. They lie with straight face. You will have very little trouble finding a nice space to live . Just remember it is called sin city for a good reason. Not everyone has moved here for the casino culture. I''ve met some really nice people since moving here. I lived in urban areas all my life so can size a city up pretty quickly.
