Anyone watch the TV show The Mentalist? I love the show and would watch it even if Simon Baker wasn't on it! (you believe me, right? )

Anyway, last night was the season finale, and the opening scene was a shot of Fremont Street from the Golden Gate end. There was a foot chase scene down the street, and other location shots in a seedy hotel and a neighborhood. (the show usually takes place in southern California)

I thought it was cool it see a show shot in Vegas but NOT on the strip.

The episode isn't online yet that I can find, but this clip shows the chase scene. Probably not that interesting if you don't watch the show, but here it is

On that topic, is there any link and relationship with the live show of the same name that is in Vegas?

I was thinking of going to it. Does anyone, who has been, have any comments on the live show

I don't think the live show has anything to do with it. I've seen the live show 3 times (all free) and it was great. I was on stage the 3rd time. It is NOT for kids

What I have read, the show in Vegas "claims" to have inspired the TV character. Who knows if that is true
