I am considering moving back to San Francisco. I was offered the position of building engineer. Pay is union set. Great living wage.

There is no employment here! Beware!

Thank you!!! Part of me is excited. The other part of me is sad. Even though I am the one who started this post, I love the Vegas area. I love my house. If I could just find a $12-$16 an hour job everything would be perfect.

Again I say, there are no jobs to be found here in the Vegas area.

I want to stay...............................

Thats great! i'm glad you got a job! at least you wont have to sweat bullets anymore. BTW, what part of SF do you live in? I rented an apt there a while back when I use to work at Embarcadero Center. I hope they gave you $$$, last time I checked.. rent was still out of sight.

Thanks. But getting back to where I began, I want to stay in Vegas. This is a cool town. Yet on the other hand, I need money to live. I have a family with a son in his senior year. Is this fair to them to move them again? It's not. Either way, it is a no-win situation.

My wife was right when we bought our home here 4 years ago; start looking for work in Vegas now. Four years ago, there was tons of work here. Like a stupid ****, I waited. The population increased and took all the work.

12 pages..

Parking- You still haven't found anything? Tomorrow I have two job interviews, and also find out whether I get the job I interviewed for on Monday. I hope I get one of the two jobs tomorrow. My situation is different than yours though. I am in my early twenties, no college education (next semester I am starting, finally)... So I can't be as picky. I don't see why you can't get a job in Vegas between $12-$16. Maybe you need to be more aggressive. It's a silly town though, they'll hire their friends, before they hire anyone qualified. Sounds like a great job in San Francisco though. Maybe give it a couple more weeks? Than move back if nothing? I don't know what to tell you. Maybe all IT jobs are taken, and you need to settle before you get what you want. Tough decision. You probably would have grown to hate Vegas anyway, just like the rest of us. Good luck in whatever you decide.
