Thank you for your imput. Yes I have applied at the Sands and at the Palazzo. I droved to the Palazzo's HR located by the Airport. I wanted a better chance if I came in dressed in a suit and a resume in hand. The first thing the agent said to me, "Apply on Line." Fortuantely they had terminals there.
After applying on line (one position only allowed), I was screened by a 18 year old kid who said, "I'll forward the application to the department manager, they'll call you for the next interview." Well, no one called. I called back 3 times to inquire about my application. Nothing.

Also, the Sands is hiring massive amounts of people for the opening of the Palazzo. Actually, not just for the Palazzo opening, but there's openings at all levels due to the growth of the company. Have you gone through all their online listings?

My neighbor is a broker. From what he tells me, he's seeking other employment opportunities to make ends meet. Three weeks ago, the RJ had an article about real estate agents. Briefly it said that agents are putting their licenses on hold to seek other jobs because they're not selling homes.

Your full of yourself and full of ****.

Sorry - I'm not applying anywhere - People are buying - pure and simple.

However, my original point was, and remains, you really need to take care with your spelling, grammar and attitude. The first impression "makes or breaks" so many employment opportunities.

Good luck to you though - I hope you land something soon

I just had a general question of what a parking manager is? I just cant put 2 and 2 together? Does this mean working in a parking structure? Just a question I had to ask?

Well at least I have something to laugh at. I love real estate agents. You guys are exactly like a used car salesman. You'll bend the truth on about anything to make a sale. Don't give the impression that you’re selling thousands of homes. You’re lying.

My point, finding employment in SIN CITY can be tough.

GREATDAY: How many are selling on the compared to the listed on the MLS? What is the turn over ration now? I'm guessing with there is about 30,000 on the MLS now?

I managed a multi-level parking structure. It generated in excess of 1.5 million per year.
In addition to that, I managed the IT Department for a Class “A” 22 story building which the parking structure was located in.

Ahhhhhhhh....A valet parking attendant.......

I agree totally with Greatday re: spelling and grammer. As an employer....if it ain't right I don't interview.

And agreeing with olecapt and others....ATTITUDE and Dues payment are essential.

And b.t.w. speaking spanish is a plus and we DO pay spanish speaking people the same as we pay english only employees [assuming of course that they also speak english. It is, afterall AMERICA] (I get sooo tired of whiners)

We don't park cars.

If you're a employer, are you hiring? If so, what is your rate of pay? Do you give benefits? What kind of work are you in?

As a former IT/Parking Manager, my parking attendants made $19.55 with full benefits (no costs to the employee) and with a company pension plan. My techs started at $25.00 an hour.

If you were in my shoes, after 4 months of seaching for employment with no success, you would be upset too. You're employed!!! Therefore your attitude is more postive than mine at this moment.

My office is in Tempe, Arizona. The ARMLS has approx 52K listings currently. Interestingly, and according to those who "crunch" numbers, 50K would be considered "normal" for an area that ARMLS encompasses - which is not just Phoenix - we are a "regional" MLS.

Sales are "inching" up - and the inventory is "inching" down. Population and employment growth remains very, very strong.

As an aside - many try to compare sales to 2004/05 etc - those were abnormal years. In my 40 years in the business though, I have gone through those cycles before - they run 10 to 12 years apart - then things settle out again.

Predictions (my ASU College of Business Admin, Dr. Jay Butler) and others are suggesting that by mid '08, we will be back to a good, strong market (not like a couple of years ago) - this shake out is actually a good thing

My office is putting 25 to 30 sales a week into escrow
