Greetings

Looking to move and retire in Nevada, and I do not know which citie to choose, I like mix diversity, good food, part time work, college, church, yes I'm a senior and do not want a senior place to live in, have not hit puberty yet. My cities are Summerlin, Henderson, Spring Valley and any city I would enjoy peacefully and safety with police officers around or even living in the area.

So I'm hoping that you would give me an honest answer.

PT

The cities/developments you name are in the Las Vegas area. Is that the part of the state you want to be in? If so, I'll move this thread to the Las Vegas forum.

Probably Henderson near things you like to do.

Just so you know, Summerlin and Spring Valley are not cities. Most (but not all) of Summerlin is within the city limits of Las Vegas. Spring Valley is in unincorporated Clark County - Las Vegas for all practical purposes but not within the city limits. Henderson is its own city, the second-largest in Nevada.

Good luck with your move.

The areas and amenities that you chose, are all close to a place called Sun City Summerlin. If you are a senior and like to chat and make new friends, while being a part of a like minded community, I suggest a visit. People drive golf carts around and learn new games in the local clubhouse, its still very fun and nice overlooking the mountains, and close to all major highways to get you to any area of town. Sun City Summerlin is in the Southwest or Northwest part of town and is part of Clark County, LAS VEGAS. I am in my 30's and would live there.

It's in the northwest, not southwest, and is within the Las Vegas city limits. It doesn't have especially convenient access to the Strip, if that's important to you, but is very close to the 215 Beltway that can get you around town pretty quickly.

The standard answer is Summerlin, Green Valley / Anthem (in Henderson), maybe Aliante. You may also be interested in The Lakes, Lake Las Vegas, Desert Shores, or Mountain's Edge. It all depends on budget. Those are all nice communities. There are others to be found, but this is the short answer.

Welcome, and good luck.

Have not hit puberty yet ?? Should we be worried that a retired guy wants to swing in to town and get a part time job by the university and date ladies from church ? Look out.

I like the area around the 215 Beltway between Rainbow and Durango. Lots of stores.
