I guess Canadians are a minority group but it's a really nice place and lots of seniors. It's just what we want and we met so many more snowbird couples from B.C. and Alberta already and the U.S. people who live there are wonderful and friendly. Main thing is we don't want to live next to families, kids, and "suits" in little lots with high fences so your idea of a desirable area may not be ours. Been there, done that!

I own that t-shirt too. And you can't find anyone who isn't a member of SOME minority group.

Come back soon!

So happy for you that the condo was great! Like I said before, we looked in that complex and if they had 3 bedroom units we would have bought there. We ended up just down the street a bit (Blackhorse) and are very happy with our purchase also. We had previously been snowbirds in the area, so knew where we wanted to be. We looked elsewhere and always came back to the area.
Sam's and Boulder are our "home" casinos and we have never been treated poorly.

Sounds good too me and I would not worry too much about the negative post concerning the area some people can not accept other people. A form meeting would be great and who said people are not friendly in LV I know all of us are. I will be about 3 miles from Boulder Station so a quick 3 minute drive to there. Lets keep in touch as the time nears I look forward to meeting all and enjoying the nice weather for a change in October.

Congrats on the condo! I've moved to Vegas 2.5 years ago from Salt Lake City and I haven't looked back since (LV positives > SLC positives). I bought in the Aliante area and couldn't be happier with my house, the area, and Las Vegas in general.

Forget the one negative nancy in this thread. I'd jump to take your $100k condo near Nellis over the $200k condo I sold in Salt Lake City, hands down, and all factors considered.
