This is a very docile, unimpressive, middle-America kid-friendly neighborhood. I think the pimps might like some flash. The house next-door is probably 1400 sq ft max, no back-yard landscaping though we do have larger lots here, and a well-regarded elementary school up the street. Again, it's shadow inventory.

I would love to make an offer on it, but offers under 100k need to be cash deals from what I've heard. I'm not a pauper, but I don't have 80 grand lying around in cash.

Actually you probably do have the cash but don't realize it,
check your assets and see what can be liquid, IRA's / 401K's
usually are worth 100+K, and you will pay a penalty for dipping into them, BUT the government is forgiving when its for a home purchase

what about that box of gold jewelry sitting upstairs in the spare bedroom?
That collection of precious moments you bought 20 years ago?

You get the idea

Jonathan

"That collection of precious moments you bought 20 years ago?"

I get you, but I just spit out beer on my computer. No one who knows me would EVER suggest that I had such a collection. My ex-husband describes me as a "perfect woman, because she's a man in a woman's body."

I'm not raiding the 401k. I invested it in Berkshire Hathaway. I'm a financial conservative and a social liberal.

If you have the money, PM me and I will give you the address. Just know, the place comes with a really sweet cat and I expect you to take care of him.

Sniffy is a really sweet cat.

And you'd also have the coolest neighbor, ever.

Actually, the cat, "Sniffy" is a former rescue animal that took my former neighbor ( the guy) over a year to familiarize with humans. He's a beautiful grey, and is very friendly.

I went over to their house, shortly before he remarried. I brought over some tomatoes that I grew. He answered the door in his boxers, obviously drunk, unshaven, and lots of pizza boxes laying on the floor. He said, " I'd take those tomatoes but the only person who would eat them was ____ and she F'n. left me for the Sex and The City Lifestyle. I said " I never liked her anyway" , and ran.
