Hello all,
I want to take my GF to a good romantic restaurant here in the greater LV/Henderson area. I'm looking for something that's good but won't be crazy expensive for two people to eat at. I live here and work in a casino so like most other people who live here I want to stay as far away from the strip as possible as I only go there when people from out of town come to visit. Have any ideas for me? Have a good one.

Bootleggers is relatively cheap with great food and far enough south of the Strip. They turn the lights way down for a dark, romantic atmosphere in the evening. Grab a booth and order the lasagna.

Lindo Michoacan in Green Valley Ranch is pretty cool. Great view at night. Might be a little loud but it it wasn't super crowded would great.

I've heard great things about Marche Bacchus though I haven't yet made it there myself. I love D.W. Bistro as well. I would find it romantic, though it is bright and colorful in there. It's really a gem of Las Vegas eating I think.

Grape Street on Lake Mead and Buffalo. Introduction

Orrrr, Gina's Bistro on Durango half a block south of Flamingo: Gina's Bistro

Both are very good and romantic. Gina's maybe a little better, plus they are all from Italy. Although Gina sold to her employees the food and service are like you'd get in Naples. Gina fills in now and then. She's the one with reddish hair that looks like an Italian movie star.

At Grape Street they have a great little wine bar, and you can sit on the patio. I think they have the best linguine and claims in town, but not the U.S. That would be Oliverio's in Bridgeport, West Virginia.

Marche Bacchus in Desert Shores is THE altimate romantic restaurant in town. The food is pretty fantastic, and the location on the lake is beautiful; especially from the patio. You enter through the wine shop. Last time we went, there was a lady singing and playing piano. She was very good, but not obtrusive. I had the duck, and while I was eating a duck from the lake came walking up to our table. I've never felt so guilty, but he couldn't prove anything, so I pretended not to notice.

It could be a little pricey for the OP from what he said. Marche Bacchus - French Bistro & Wine Market

Absolutely NOT Grape Street Cafe, if you still have your hearing. It is so loud in there you have to shout at the person you're seated with in order for them to hear you. Not what most people would consider romantic.

Marché Bacchus is what you're looking for, though it may be on the wrong side of town.

I agree about Marche Bacchus. Great location. You forget you are in Vegas. I'm not in love with the food ( I don't love French cuisine) but between the wine and the location, it's a great spot.

Hugo's Cellar, downtown is also very famous for being a romantic place on a budget.

Grape Street is a little loud inside, but some people must like that since so many restaurants create a loud atmosphere on purpose. I never could understand it myself, and refuse to go anywhere near a TGI Fridays. I'd think OSHA would shut them down. At Grape Street, sit on the patio if you can, but the food is so good a little noise won't stop you, and the prices are fairly reasonable compared to other restaurants. But I understand that some people are bothered by noise in a restaurant more than others. I hate it myself. The lighting, the brick walls, and the wine bar atmosphere, makes Grape Street romantic ...sort of.

Anyway, go to Gina's Bistro or Marché Bacchus.
