Players come here with hometown rules etched into their brains and don't bother to find out what the rules set by the poker room are. When I was brushing years ago at The Aladdin, I once placed a guy in a six card stud game with Amarillo Slim and Johnny Moss, and a couple of the other the top players in the world because he insisted. He wouldn't listen to me so I asked Johnny and he said bring him over. In a few minutes they guy was yelling on his way out of the room at the world's best players telling them they didn't know how to play poker because house rules were that the low hand showing on the first three cards was forced to open.

You are correct Buzz many people come to LV with $$$ in their eyes because they play at home or small casinos and they watch too many poker tours shows. When I wanted to learn how to play craps I took the free lessons offered by the casino. I would suggest anyone to take all of the free lessons offered at least you get the basic info to start with.

I would suggest that nobody take any lessons just air at the poker table and donate.

I defy anyone to name a professional poker player who is NOT straight as a circle.
