Agree 100%.

a fancy candlelit dinner would do nothing for me. I'm just not like that I guess.

I proposed to my wife on one of the overpasses that overlooks Marché Bacchus, after dining there.

If you're doing this with/in front of your family and friends, maybe reserve half the patio, and then go out on a boat between main course and dessert, and propose to her in front of everyone. You'd have to find someone with a boat and shore access who is willing to take you out.

Maybe these people could help: Garden Wedding in Las Vegas, Outdoor Wedding in Vegas, Wedding Reception Vegas, Wedding Venues Vegas ::: Lakeside Weddings & Events, though I'm guessing only waterfront homeowners are allowed to have boats on the water.

Any resident can have a boat...launch at each lake. Only lake front can get access to a dock...though I suspect it is easy to sublease one at the Racquet Club. To pull off the boat proposal you probably need some cooperation with the HOA club house. They have the only easily accessible dock in the area.

YOu might also consider the Silk Purse Ranch...

I could have sworn that Marché Bacchus had its own dock at one time. I can recall eating outside there once and some people drove up in a boat, docked it, and were seated at a table a short time later. Then again, there was probably alcohol involved, and it may have been a different restaurant in another city. I can't see a dock from any angle in Google Maps now.

I was thinking that the dock was still there, and all the OP needed was a boat to use.

Hope your gf doesn't mind doing proposals in public. You got to think of a reason to do it where it counts because every couple has a different story that makes things important for them. If she hates proposals in public and you do it in front of the bellagio fountains, expect a big NO in front of your friends and family.

Candles and things sounds like a nice quiet back yard romantic dinner for you two or at a nice quiet restaurant with a view. Pane Vino? The rest inside the fake Eifel Tower with the view of the bellagio fountain? Inside Robertos Tacos where you two met? I dunno.

The very first thing that came to my mind was on a gondola at the Venetian. You can't get more romantic than that.

My daughter got married in 2002 in Las Vegas. Her dinner that evening was at Canaletto's private room above the square in the Venetian. That was a very memorable time..................we will never forget that experience.

personal opinion....where EVER you propose, now becomes the most romantic place in the valley.....mine was a dirt runway at the airport in Jean as i was climbing out of the cockpit of a glider and she handed me a bottle of water......
