Ever read these? I do, just for fun. I was just reading reviews for a hotel on Fremont Street and it was mostly positive, but I am amazed at how many people complain about things that seem silly to me.

For instance, so many people have complained about the noise from the light show and live music on Fremont Street. One said "The music from the live bands drove us nuts!" What do you expect? Your hotel is right next to a stage and right under the largest screen in the world. You are bound to hear something. I also wonder what the heck they are doing in the room i the first place? Get out and experience what you travelled to Vegas for. You can sleep and relax when you get home.

Also, several people were saying the casino was too busy on the weekends. I don't even know what to say about that.

I did a little research......seems as how this jerk was 86'd from the hotel by security for pimpin out his woman...and was thrownn out twice after that......

OH and Valet parking almost totaled his car.....[valet remembered him and his car.....] they thought the doors were gonna fall off when he drove in.....

Fremont can be noisy late into the night on weekends into the hotel rooms. That is a legit gripe IMO, although the bands stop at 10pm or so. If someone is trying to sleep at that time, they are missing out on the point of being in LV on a weekend. The key there is to request a room that faces away.

exactly.....most hotels will accomodate alth on a busy weekend its hard.....its easier if you book directly thru the hotel as opposed to booking on a 3rd party site. Then you are dealiing directly with them and not With Bangladesh....and MOST properties [if the have a rate decrease] will decrease the rate for you upon request.....if third party, the rate is the rate

The bands play later than 10, I was there past midnight during the week and at least one stage still had a band going!

I guess I dont get why someone who wants to go to bed early would complain about the noise. If I were in a room and could hear the live band outside, I would realize I need to get the heck out there; I'm missing the fun!

Different strokes, for different folks. That's all.

I like a nice quiet room. Sometimes I hit "noise overload", and just want to find a quiet place. If I can't do that in my own room.....

If someone has never been to Las Vegas, how would they know the hotels on Fremont St. are loud? All they know is that they got a good rate, on a room downtown. They don't find out about the noise, until they are trying to go to sleep. At that point, it's probably too late to change their accommodations. I suspect this is especially true, for people who are not seasoned travelers, and don't have much experience staying in hotels.

And, not everyone goes to Las Vegas to drink and stay up all night listing to a band. I sure don't, and I've been to Las Vegas at least 40 or 50 times. I gave up drinking (for the most part ) and hanging out in bars, a long time ago. There are a lot of us who go to gamble, sightsee, and perhaps take in a show. And I can do all of that, while maintaining a reasonably normal sleep routine. I see a lot of "older" tourists in Las Vegas, who probably think the same way I do...not that I qualify for "older", mind you .

Las Vegas IS a 24 hour town, but that means I can do whatever I want at 1:00 in the afternoon. Can't think of anything I want to do at 1:00 in the morning, really, except sleep.

We gave up on staying anywhere near the strip or dowtown a while ago.. We get a hotel somewhere else and it's just a hotel.... And then we drive to wherever we want to go and when its time to go nighty night we drive back and get our sleep..... This works good for us as we can usually use the pool and not have 2000 other people enjoying it at the same time....Also I am near stores or other restaurants I can go to anytiem I wish.....And as we get older we find that's the best for us.... I learned a looong time ago, when I travel to a place that goes 24/7 or close to it I try and stay away from the "fun" areas if possible.....
