I believe....that a felon CAN get a sheriffs card [depending upon the felony] but said felon must already have secured employment which may or may not be offered [again depending upon the felony i.e. My office deals with a large volume of credit cards, I am PROBABLY not gonna hire someone that did time for credit card fraud.

a Sheriffs card is issued by the Sheriffs/metro office and is required in some work areas [altho not a much as before] It entails fingerprinting and a background check and is essentially a 'work permit'

Many ares of the hotel no longer require them.

My understanding is, if you are going to handle money / chips, i.e., dealing, cage, count room etc., you have to have a sheriffs card and, with a felony, you cannot get one for that type of work -

Please, correct me if I am mistaken

How about getting a job someplace that doesn't require a sheriff's card, which is probably 90% of the jobs in the city???? That sure would beat having to ask strangers in an internet forum for $400 to make rent, no??

Bob

Hmmm...this sounds awfully familiar...someone coming back with a new name...
and asking strange people for money is never a good thing. (yes, we are ALL strange)

Sure, you can get a sheriff's card, just send me $49.99, and you'll be on your way to prosperity.
